Wedding MC FAQs

Can you be both our celebrant and Wedding MC?

Absolutely. In fact, that's one of the lovely things about combining the two services. By the time your reception arrives, I'll already know your story, the people who matter and the tone you've created for your wedding. I can carry that connection seamlessly from your ceremony into your reception.

Can we book you as our Wedding MC if you're not our celebrant?

Yes. You can book me as your Wedding MC even if someone else is conducting your ceremony.

What does a Wedding MC actually do?

A good MC does much more than make announcements. I'll help manage the running sheet, welcome guests, introduce the bridal party and speeches, coordinate timing with the venue and entertainment, support speakers and keep the evening moving, all while helping create the atmosphere you want.

Will you help us with our reception running sheet?

Yes. We'll talk through the reception in detail, including speeches, introductions, special moments, music, surprises and anything else you've planned. I'll make sure everyone involved understands what's happening and when.

Can you help nervous speakers?

Absolutely. Standing up in front of a room full of wedding guests can be daunting. I'll make sure speakers know what's happening and when they're due to speak, and I'll be there to offer a little reassurance and encouragement when they need it.

Do you liaise with the venue and other suppliers?

Yes. I'll work with your venue and, where needed, your DJ, band, musicians and other suppliers to coordinate timing and cues and help make sure everyone is on the same page.

What happens if something doesn't go to plan?

Something unexpected can happen at almost any wedding! I'll stay calm, work with the venue and suppliers, and handle what needs to be handled without making it the focus of the evening. My aim is to keep things moving so you can enjoy your celebration.
